A brief History - Don Bosco College & Vocational Technical Centre
Don Bosco opened its doors for the first time in Savaii with a roll of 120 students for Year 9 and 10 on the 9th February 2011. The Salelologa Catholic Congregation came to our assistance by allowing us to have their Parish Hall and Priest’s Presbytery as temporary classrooms during the first term.
Our present school compound was publicly opened on the June 3rd 2011. The Prime Minister and the Minister of Education were present on that day. The second Term started in our classrooms and compound on Monday the 6th of June.
We follow the Samoan Secondary School Curriculum with the following subjects:

- Mathematics
- Science
- Samoan
- Social Studies
- Business Studies
- Computer Studies
- Accounting
- Economics
- Geography
- History
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Religious Education
Don Bosco is also a Vocational Technical Centre. The four workshops; Carpentry & Joinery, Motor Mechanic, Plumbing &Sheet metal and Metal Fabrication started operations at the commencement of 2013 school year and Hospitality and Tourismstarted operations at the commencement of 2017.
Salesians of Don Bosco
The Salesians of Don Bosco, officially known as The Society of St. Francis de Sales, are an international organisation of Catholic priests and brothers dedicated to the service of the young, especially the disadvantaged and marginalised.
The Salesian Family is a worldwide movement of people committed to the service of the young. It consists of over 400,000 people who are part of 30 different organisations aligned to Don Bosco.
